CactusTour has been certified for sustainable tourism since2009.TheCST (Certificacion Sostenibilidad Turistica)is the certification implemented by the ICT (Costa Rican Institute of Tourism)

The certification is renewed every 2 years and allows us to measure and evaluate our policies and actions in terms of management of natural and cultural resources, improvement of the quality of life of the communities and of Costa Rica in general.

For us, it is an excellent tool allowing both reflection  and improvement of our practices :

• Knowledge and compliance with the legislation is a prerequisite for any action.
• Training, awareness and collaboration are essential.
• Knowing, measuring and limiting our impacts, committing ourselves and implementing positive actions is the path we choose to achieve our objectives.

Concretely , we work as much as possible with partners and service providers who are themselves committed or certified, we train teams and discuss best practices with guides and transporters, we raise awareness among travelers about the responsible tourism charter, we invite them to limit the use of plastic bottles, we favor menus using local products and recipes, we try to introduce travelers to less touristy regions and invite them to meetings, we aim for zero paper, etc.
We also support projects and associations.

Our Commitments to Conservation

At Cactus Tour, we are deeply committed to wildlife protection. We work closely with local organizations to support conservation initiatives and educate our visitors about the importance of preserving these natural treasures.

• Conservation Programs  : A portion of our revenue is donated to wildlife protection and habitat restoration projects.
• Responsible Tourism  : We favor sustainable tourism practices to minimize our impact on the environment and local wildlife.
