To achieve this, Cactus Tour offers various tailor-made stays, all centered around discovery. Our sustainable traveler charter also invites you to participate during your trip, but know that every component of your journey contributes to local development while offering a respectful discovery of nature, sites, and people, with a selection of providers mindful of the environment and local populations.
Individual Self-Drive Tours
The self-drive tour is the “adventure and freedom” package. It includes: 1 vehicle, a personalized itinerary, hotel stays, French-speaking support, travel documents and advice, and real-time monitoring of your journey by our team. This formula allows you to explore the country as you wish! In control of your private vehicle, you travel at your own pace, alone or in a small group. Your route is marked by your points of interest and enjoyable nights wherever you choose.
Your advisor continuously communicates with you to plan your trip. Together, you define your route and the type of suitable transport; we offer advice on activity choices and lodging recommendations. When you confirm your self-drive tour, we make all the reservations and send you the confirmation. Upon your arrival, we provide you with the itinerary roadbook, detailed maps, and your advisor stays in permanent and direct contact to ensure the smooth progress of your trip. Guided Stays
We offer two types of guided stays:
The “knowledge and freedom” package allows you to follow your desired itinerary without worrying about logistics, while enhancing your knowledge. Together, we define your itinerary (routes, activities, accommodations) and provide you with a driver and a bilingual guide. Your personalized journey leads you to the discoveries you dream of: observing the most elusive jungle and forest animals, studying the jewels of Costa Rican flora, immersing yourself in local culture, and exploring colonial architecture and pre-Columbian ruins. The “discovery and conviviality” package is commonly known as GIR. It is a trip bringing together 2 to 18 individuals who initially do not know each other. The concept aims to travel more securely (as you are accompanied) while multiplying encounters and discoveries. The itinerary, accommodations, and activities are defined in advance. You traverse the country using a minibus, private transfers, and a bilingual guide. This offer is organized annually, at fixed dates, in partnership with your travel agency or local tour operator. These guided stays, lasting 8 days, are varied and can be complemented at the end with an individual self-drive tour, a “knowledge and freedom” package, or a beach extension with organized transfers.
