Situ\u00e9 au nord de la vall\u00e9e centrale et entour\u00e9 d\u2019un paysage verdoyant de for\u00eat tropicale et de p\u00e2tures, le volcan Arenal surplombe de sa silhouette conique quasi parfaite de stratovolcan l\u2019ensemble de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>

La v\u00e9g\u00e9tation tropicale et luxuriante qui environne le colosse, les eaux chaudes qui s’en \u00e9chappent, le magnifique lac qui s’\u00e9tend \u00e0 ses pieds et les traces de son importante activit\u00e9 r\u00e9cente en font l\u2019un des sites les plus spectaculaires du pays.<\/p>

Le volcan est le point de d\u00e9part de nombreuses excursions et activit\u00e9s :<\/p>

Situ\u00e9s au c\u0153ur d\u2019une nature exub\u00e9rante mais parfaitement \u00e9quip\u00e9s, plusieurs \u00e9tablissements poss\u00e8dent des installations thermales, piscines naturelles et cascades qui sont l\u2019occasion d\u2019un merveilleux moment de d\u00e9tente.<\/p>

Les grottes de Venado et leurs nombreuses stalactites et stalagmites permettent d\u2019explorer le sous-sol costaricien.<\/p>

Dans le parc national, les anciens chemins de lave du volcan forment des sentiers o\u00f9 l\u2019on voit la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation reprendre le dessus sur la roche qui l\u2019avait pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment engloutie.<\/p>

Une promenade en floating sur le rio Toro ou le rio Pe\u00f1as Blancas permet de d\u00e9couvrir la splendeur des eaux du Costa Rica dans un cadre naturel enchanteur.<\/p>

Les amoureux de la nature seront ravis d\u2019observer la for\u00eat depuis sa cime, ou canop\u00e9e, \u00e0 partir de ponts suspendus install\u00e9s en plein c\u0153ur de la for\u00eat primaire.<\/p>

Autre mode d\u2019exploration possible, suspendus \u00e0 des c\u00e2bles au-dessus de la for\u00eat et de petits lacs volcaniques.<\/p>

Pour les sportifs, la r\u00e9gion offre des parcours plus ou moins difficiles de balade en VTT permettant d\u2019appr\u00e9cier des paysages magnifiques \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du lac et du volcan<\/p>
